GSM Gateways technology:
GSM Gateways (Fixed Wireless Terminals) are the main produt range from 2N’s main portfolio. The GSM gateways reduce your fixed-to- GSM and GSM-to-fixed call expenses.
When a number beginning with a GSM prefix is dialled, the gateway automatically routes the call via the most cheapest GSM network instead of routing it through your fix line provider network, so expensive fixed-mobile/mobile-fixed calls are avoided.
GSM Gateways interfaces:
2N is a manufacturer of GSM Gateways with any of widely used interfaces - analog, ISDN BRI, ISDN PRI and VoIP ones.
Generally speaking, mobile-to-mobile calls are cheaper than fixed-to-mobile calls. You can imagine the GSM Gateway (GSM Router, FCT) like a “mobile phone”, through which all company calls go to mobile networks.
Having one or more SIM cards installed in the GSM Gateway (GSM Router, FCT), you can make mobile-to-mobile calls instead of fixed-to-mobile ones. Obviously, these devices are much more sophisticated and provide a lot of useful features and options such as sending SMS, sending fax messages, etc.
Very popular Gateways from the product line are the VoIP-GSM Gateways – 2N VoiceBlue Lite and 2N VoiceBlue Enterprise are IP based SIP or SIP/H.323 GSM Gateways, which enable to make calls directly from IP phones to GSM networks. VoIP GSM gateways are compatible with any IP PBXs, also with Asterisk IP PBX.
The key advantage of the VoIP-GSM Gateways is derived from the support of both signalling protocols - both SIP (Session Initiation Protocol), which is the key protocol for tomorrow’s multimedia communications and enables to introduce emerging WEB-BASED multimedia communication and H.323. The IP GSM gateways enable to make 4 calls simultaneously and give you a 100% control of your GSM calls.
The 2N VoiceBlue Enterprise can be also utilized as a protocol translator between SIP and/or H.323 environments.
