VONEXUS RECEIVES INTERNET TELEPHONY MAGAZINE'S 2004 PRODUCT OF THE YEAR AWARD

INDIANAPOLIS , Jan. 24, 2005 -- Vonexus Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Interactive Intelligence Inc. The IP PBX, called Enterprise Interaction Centerr (EIC), was honored for its quality and innovation, according to Rich Tehrani, Internet Telephony's group publisher and editor-in-chief.

"As the first standards-based IP telephony solution to offer both voice and data connectivity to the widest range of Microsoft technologies, EIC has demonstrated that it is a truly unique product designed to address the real-world needs of SMBs," Tehrani said.

EIC offers complete IP telephony functionality based on Windows Server and Exchange Server 2003, including integrated auto-attendant, and call routing and queuing. Out-of-the-box screen-pop and IVR integration will be available in Q2 for Microsoft Business Solutions products, initially for Great Plains and MS CRM, with support for Navision and Axapta in a future release. An Outlook telephony client will also be released in Q2, enabling customers to upgrade Exchange and Outlook from a messaging platform to a total communications solution. Vonexus is also developing new Windows CE and SharePoint interfaces to extend EIC's features to mobile employees.

EIC, which was first made available by Interactive Intelligence in 1997 on a TDM platform, was re-launched by Vonexus in 2004 as an integrated IP telephony solution to address the growing demand in the SMB market for converged voice and data solutions running on the Microsoft platform.

In addition to Microsoft technologies, EIC also uses Intel's HMP software, which eliminates the need for voice boards, thus resulting in decreased cost and complexity, according to Vonexus president, Jerry Fleming.

"In addition to its many features designed to increase the productivity of both corporate and mobile workers, EIC's all-software architecture helps SMBs realize a faster return on investment and lower total cost of ownership through reduced deployment time and simplified maintenance," Fleming said. "This, combined with its use of open technologies such as SIP, makes EIC the most well-protected converged communications investment an SMB could make."

EIC is packaged as an out-of-the-box solution, complete with software, hardware and phones. For more information about EIC, visit http://www.vonexus.com/products/eic/eic.asp.
