LABS2 CHOOSES NET INSIGHT FOR SCANDINAVIAN IPTV TRIPLE-PLAY NETWORKNetwork to provide TV, HDTV, Video-on-Demand, telephony and data to broadband service providers and broadcasters
STOCKHOLM, March 16, 2005 - Net Insight (SX: NET I B), a leading provider of video, voice and data networking equipment, announced that Labs2 Group AB (Labs2) is using its Nimbra(tm) platform to build a Scandinavian IPTV triple-play network. The new network will be used to distribute TV, HDTV, Video-on-Demand, telephony and data services.
Labs2, a Swedish broadband services developer and provider, will use the network to permit carriers to provide triple play services. TV and video services are becoming a necessary part of the services offered by operators. These triple play services open up important new revenue-generating opportunities.

The new network meets the rigorous 100% QoS requirements demanded by broadcasters when transporting TV and video. Accordingly, broadcasters and media companies will use the network for contribution and distribution of programming. Service providers will also be able to take advantage of this high level of quality to deliver triple play services to their broadband customers. The network will be fully operational during March 2005.
"Operators face the challenge of building a network that delivers full quality TV, 24 hours per day, every day of the year," said Tomas Duffy, CEO of Net Insight. "Labs 2 has chosen the same platform that is used by leading broadcasters and media network operators internationally, which is a guarantee of quality for Labs 2's customers. "
"We are very satisfied with the solution that offers a combination of guaranteed high quality of service and low operating costs", said Jonas Birgersson, CEO and founder of Labs2. It gives us the possibility to offer our customers very competitive services."
