Paris, France, April 14, 2005 - CIRPACK, developer of next generation voice switches for operators' infrastructures, today announced that Altitude Telecom, the largest fixed-wireless operator in France, deployed Cirpack's Class-5 switches to launch telephony services over WiMAX for businesses. As the only service provider with a license to operate in the 3.5GHz throughout France, Altitude was the first operator in the world to deploy 802.16d-compliant WiMAX equipment to offer wireless broadband connectivity to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) as well as to large businesses and administrations.
