NetEQ reduces delay by as much as 30 to 80 ms compared to the best alternative solutions, and provides better than PSTN voice quality at up to 30 percent packet loss. NetEQ is especially attractive to chip and hardware manufacturers because it uses an adaptive buffer size to respond dynamically to shifting network conditions for the highest resolution available today. It also gives hardware designers a great deal of flexibility, because it is a single-ended solution that can be deployed on the receiving end to improve end user voice quality.
