VOCERA COMMUNICATIONS SCOOPS INNOVATION AWARD FOR 'STAR TREK' VOIP SYSTEM

London, 24 May, 2007: The wireless industry last night hailed Vocera Communications' achievement in the domain of voice over IP (VoIP). Nick Stone, UK
sales manager, Vocera, accepted the Wireless Broadband Innovation Award for Best VoIP Product or Service at a ceremony in London's Olympia Auditorium,
attended by the rising stars and big hitters of the wireless broadband industry.

The award was judged according to the level of innovation, user experience, speed and scale of rollout and finally, market success.

The Vocera Communications System has been successfully implemented in NHS trusts and individual hospitals across the UK, including the Royal Belfast
Hospital for Sick Children, the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen NHS Trust and the Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Trust. The system, which has been likened to
a Star Trek communicator badge, allows NHS staff to contact each other at the touch of a button. Leveraging voice over IP technology and speech recognition
the Vocera system runs over a standard 802.11 wireless network. By reducing the time and expense of locating staff around a hospital, Vocera allows
medical personnel to spend more time concentrating on patient care and less time walking around a site to answer a page. Patients are also less disturbed
by public address systems - a typical means of paging individuals around NHS facilities.

On receiving the award, Nick Stone commented, "It's wonderful that Vocera has been recognised by its peers as leading the field in VoIP communications. For
the healthcare sector in particular, the benefits of improving internal communications systems are very tangible as staff can respond faster to calls for
assistance and remain with patients while responding to queries. We all know how hard medical staff work in our hospitals and this system aims to make one
element of their jobs that little bit easier."

The judging panel of wireless industry experts was faced with the difficult task this year of selecting the winning companies across the five main award
categories. Over 170 submissions were entered and 2600 industry specialists registered to vote for the winners of the two Industry Achievement Awards.
