London, UK: May 30, 2007. Data Connection Limited (DCL), the world's leading independent provider of communications protocol software, announced today that it will participate in the IMS Forum’s IMS Plugfest II interoperability test event to be held June 4-8 at the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Lab in Durham, NH. DCL, a member of the IMS Forum, will demonstrate IMS industry compatibility with DC-SBC, its portable software solution for session border control, which includes full P-CSCF, IBCF, and BGF/I-BGF IMS functions.

Phil McConnell, CEO of DCL's Networking Protocols Division, commented, "The availability of Data Connection’s portable IMS software has significantly reduced the cost and complexity for OEM developers looking to implement IMS functions in their systems. Participating in Plugfest II helps us prove compatibility with multiple IMS vendors running a wide range of IMS applications and services, thereby enabling us to pass additional benefits onto our customers though reduced time to market and lower project risk.”

The IMS Plugfest II is the second in a series of open testing events that are designed to foster interoperability and awareness of IMS by establishing an industry-recognized Interoperability certification for IMS services and applications. The Plugfest testing events will enable the Forum to develop an industry-recognized "stamp of approval" for IMS applications and services, expediting their rollout. The first Plugfest focused on network layer testing and the second Plugfest will add application and service layer testing to the mix. The next Plugfest will add video and IPTV testing according to the IMS Forum’s roadmap of a total of six tests over a period of two years.

“It is innovative companies like Data Connection who are driving the future of IMS,” said Michael Khalilian, IMS Forum President & Chairman and Pervasip Corp CTO. “We are very pleased to welcome Data Connection to Plugfest II, Data Connection’s fully portable software solution for session border controller will make an important contribution to the overall event.”

At the event Data Connection’s DC-SBC solution will operate as a P-CSCF and IBCF for testing of IMS registration and call scenarios in interdomain and carrier’s carrier network environments. Revenue generating applications of IMS such as presence, messaging, advanced call handling and fixed-mobile convergence will also be proven via interoperability testing with application servers.

DC-SBC is the industry's first and only software-based, fully portable session border controller solution developed exclusively for system vendors. DC-SBC has been shipping for over two years and supports P-CSCF, IBCF, and BGF/I-BGF IMS functionality. Data Connection's DC-SBC solution enables vendors to enhance their existing and new products with full, carrier-grade session border controller functionality with massive savings in time to market and engineering costs.
