RESULTS OF THE IMS FORUM'S PLUGFEST II TO BE RELEASED AT IMS FORUM BOOTH, NO 3669Chicago, IL – June 15, 2007 – The IMS Forum, the industry's only Forum dedicated to the acceleration of IP multimedia subsystem application and service interoperability, announced today that it will exhibit, speak and participate in the judging of the NXTcomm Eos Awards at the NXTcom show in Chicago on June 18-21, 2007. The IMS Forum will also hold its members meeting at the show at the Hyatt Regency in McCormick Place in Conference Room CC11A in Chicago on Monday, June 18, 2007 from 1 PM – 4 PM. All NXTcomm attendees are invited to this meeting which will present the Plugfest II results and other IMS Forum activities.
The IMS forum will also provide the results from its second Plugfest at its booth, no. 3669, on the NXTcomm show floor. Visitors to the booth can speak with IMS Forum members who participated in the test event and view a video of the Plugfest II testing which was held at the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Lab in Durham, N.H., June 4 – 8, 2007. The IMS Plugfest II was the second in a series of open testing events that are designed to test and verify interoperability for IMS services and applications. The first Plugfest focused on interoperability of the IMS transport layer. Building on Plugfest I, the second Plugfest event tested interoperability for VoIP, IP Centrex, SMS and Fixed-Mobile Convergence functionality.
