Duties:
• Provide hands-on technical assistance to Resellers, customers, and prospects of I3
• Responsible for reading Logs and communicating with COs to fix telephone network problems
• Use diagnostic equipment such as Tbirds to monitor and troubleshoot phone network performance
• Work with COs and Resellers to troubleshoot CO phone network problems, and configure ISDN and T1 lines
• Responsible for framing coding and setting protocols with ISDN and T1 trunks
• Provide technical support to Resellers or direct customers in critical situations where technology implementation or product issues are impeding the successful use of I3 products

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or computer related field of study
• Minimum five years hands-on professional experience with telephony systems
• Minimum three years experience configuring and installing ISDN circuitry, T1s and Trunks
• Excellent communication, presentation, and phone skills
• Prior experience working with Dialogic, Natural Micro Systems or Rhetorex cards highly desired
• Minimum two years network administration experience
• Professional experience working with COs
• Must be self-motivated, self-directed and have the demonstrated ability to learn
• Demonstrated ability to exercise judgment to determine appropriate solutions to customer technical issues
• Ability to work in a team to meet critical deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to logically troubleshoot software and hardware issues
• Minimal travel required

The Educational Services group has an opening for a technical instructor, based in our Indianapolis office, to train our end-users and reseller partners. Technical instruction at Interactive Intelligence is a fast-paced, fun environment where instructors participate in all facets of course delivery, including: curriculum decisions, course development, design of materials, lab station configuration, classroom instruction, and lab assistance.
Our ideal candidate will possess the following:

Job Description:

• Develop, implement and execute test cases/suites for Enterprise Interaction Center (EIC) and related software
• Test software manually and with automated methods
• Set up test labs
• Identify, document and track software and hardware problems encountered during testing
• Investigate new product features and their interactions with other EIC functionality
• Work closely with developers to ensure bugs are identified, fixed, and incorporated into product builds
• Propose appropriate and creative solutions to problems discovered during testing

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science, Computer Technology or related field
• Minimum two years experience as a Software Test Engineer, Software Developer, or related technical experience
• Knowledge of the software development process and environment
• Working knowledge of Telephony and/or other communication technologies
• Intermediate knowledge and experience with Internet technologies
• Experience configuring, installing, and troubleshooting PC Software, hardware, Windows 95 and NT workstations, and Windows NT networking environments
• Demonstrated ability to logically and analytically troubleshoot hardware and software
• Prior use of automated software test tools would be a plus
• Attainment of Microsoft Certifications would be a plus
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to excel in a self-motivated and self-directed environment
