Alianza Selected by TransWorld Network and Zing Networks for Hosted VoIP Services

Alianza, Inc., a leading provider of hosted voice over WiMAX solutions, today announced it has been selected to provide hosted VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) services for Transworld Network and Zing Networks. Transworld and Zing are regional wireless service providers who chose Alianza to add feature-rich voice services to their broadband offering. This will enable them to increase market share and margin by deploying a fully integrated, white label voice solution.

Zing Networks, based in Detroit, is a pioneering WiMAX service provider that delivers high-performance “Metropolitan Ethernet” and fourth generation (4G) wireless Internet, telephony and satellite services. Zing provides services to companies requiring secure, stable connectivity and wireless flexibility, at a lower cost than traditional phone and cable providers.

“For WiMAX networks, voice is one of the killer applications. It’s what business and residential customers want most. With Alianza, we were up and running quickly and reliably with a voice offering,” said Tolly Marcus, CEO of Zing Networks. “Zing offers services tailored to the needs of individual customers. Alianza’s hosted voice platform is customizable, and we can manage everything from one simple interface.”

TransWorld Network Corp. (TWN), based in Tampa, Fla., established its roots in 1988 as an inter-exchange telecommunications carrier providing long distance service, dedicated access telecommunication service, toll free services, pre-paid and post-paid phone calling cards, and dial-up Internet service. Most recently, TWN has expanded its coverage by adding broadband wireless networks in various regions around the country.

“TWN provides broadband access to consumers across many states, and the ability to deliver digital phone service in conjunction with Internet access services will be a major benefit to the rural consumer base we serve,” said Colin Wood, CEO of TWN.

“Alianza’s technology allows service providers to launch their entire voice communications services in a short period of time and under their own brand, with no up front costs,” said Brian Beutler, CEO of Alianza. “Installation of customer premise equipment is plug and play, so there is no installation required by the service provider. Because the Alianza platform uses SIP as a protocol, it integrates easily and transparently to legacy PBX systems and PSTN networks.”
