“The DMG2000 Series is a turnkey set of IP-to-PBX gateway appliances designed for ease of use and broad PBX interoperability that can help businesses readily adopt VoIP services without replacing their current telephony infrastructure,” said Jim Machi, senior vice president of marketing at Dialogic. “Achieving interoperability with BroadSoft’s BroadWorks platform further extends the market opportunity for service providers deploying hosted VoIP solutions into the legacy PBX customer base.”
“Attaining interoperability between BroadWorks and Dialogic® Media Gateways means service providers, channel partners and customers will have more choices when it comes to deploying services based on Broadsoft’s BroadWorks platform,” said Robert Weidenfeller, vice president of engineering for BroadSoft. Weidenfeller further noted that “service providers are looking to expand their opportunities through competitive access solutions that the channel can easily sell and deploy. The Dialogic® 2000 Media Gateway Series and our BroadWorks platform can provide a strong ROI to help operators expand their opportunities with customers of legacy TDM PBX equipment.”
Dialogic offers a range of media gateways to connect VoIP and FoIP applications and services to PBX systems and the PSTN. The products leverage Dialogic’s decades of market experience in enabling communications platforms to interface with a wide array of PBX systems and PSTN protocols. Earlier this year, Dialogic began shipping a new software release and two new DMG2000 Series gateway variants that provide failover relays, addressing the demands of service providers deploying services such as SIP trunking. Failover relays on the DMG2000 Series provide service piece of mind by routing traffic over the PSTN in the event that a broadband data service link becomes unavailable.
