Mitel Launches UC Advanced, Brings Mobile UC Functions to BlackBerry Smartphones
OTTAWA, ONTARIO, Aug 03, 2010—Mitel(R) (MITL 9.24, -0.06, -0.63%) , a leading provider of unified communications software solutions, today released version 3.2 of its Unified Communicator(R) (UC) Advanced solution. This release allows BlackBerry(R) smartphone users to mobilize and gain access to Mitel UC features available through UC Advanced. The BlackBerry smartphone application, Mitel UC Advanced Mobile, is available for download on BlackBerry App World(TM).

UC Advanced is a software client that allows users single-portal access to all collaboration tools, including deskphone, softphone, mobile devices, visual voice mail, secure instant messaging, presence, audio and web conferencing, desktop video conferencing, document sharing, and email. The Mitel solution enhances organizational efficiency and connects the right people and information automatically and effectively.

UC Advanced Mobile provides access for BlackBerry smartphones users to corporate UC information and tools, improving employee mobility and productivity. The application uses location based services - GPS and Bluetooth(R) - natively present in a BlackBerry smartphone to automatically update status information and call routing preferences.
