Rudder is an Internet Protocol (IP)-based service provider that provides IPTV, a platform that links television to the Internet, along with other applications and services such as gaming and video-on-demand. Through its partnership with Pervasip/VoX, Rudder expects to offer the new service under the “Sonase Digital Phone” brand name.

VoX’s President and CIO Mark Richards said, “We are excited to partner with a high-tech consumer-based company such as Rudder, which is emerging as an industry leader in the IPTV arena. Rudder has a technology-savvy audience that would be able to take advantage of a digital phone offering, and both Rudder and VoX stand to benefit from the additional VoIP service offering to the large target audience that Rudder currently serves.”

Rudder’s Chief Operating Officer Randy Mortensen commented, “We have studied several VoIP options over a 2-year period, and concluded that VoX was the clear choice for us. Their voice quality, back-office capabilities and program structure offers a compelling value for our business needs. Our customers expect the best from us, and VoX not only met but exceeded all of our requirements. Adding digital voice to our service bundle will provide tremendous value for our customers as well as a new revenue stream for us. We are excited to move forward with this opportunity and are very confident that we have selected the ‘best-in-class’ solution from VoX.”
