Switch and Data Introduces Web MarketPlace to Help VoIP Service Providers Connect to New Revenue

Switch and Data (NASDAQ: SDXC), a leading provider of Internet exchange and colocation services, announced today the Company has introduced its Web MarketPlace to help customers connect to new business partners and new sources of revenue in its sites. Switch and Data operates some of North America’s most densely interconnected Internet exchange sites. The new Web MarketPlace allows customers to market their services and search for partners within the community of 900 Switch and Data customers in the Company’s 34 North American sites.

Switch and Data invited customers to register in a beta version of the Web MarketPlace at the end of 2007. To-date, more than 200 customers have signed up to participate. Switch and Data customers have already discovered business opportunities and begun generating revenue from the online service.

A Web MarketPlace user:

* Searches providers, potential customers and partners by name or by service in one or more of the Company’s 34 sites
* Connects with the correct business contact for product information and pricing for each location
* Manages his or her company’s profile, contact information, and can even add promotions via a custom field
* Adds IM contact information to facilitate real-time interactivity

“Switch and Data’s Web MarketPlace adds value to my neutral colocation and Internet exchange spend,” said David Byrd, VP Marketing for Broadvox. “Broadvox is a leader in VoIP and we grow by adding interconnections and business relationships with new service providers. Participation in the Web MarketPlace enhances our visibility to target customers and gives us a simple way to search for new service provider business opportunities.”

Customers access the Web MarketPlace under the CustomerOneSM button at the top right of the http://www.switchanddata.com homepage. Once there, they can register or search the database and begin networking with other Switch and Data customers. Typically, marketing or product managers at a customer register their companies, and the sales or network group uses the system to locate potential customers or partners. Customers can market and advertise their services and efficiently search for other customers by company name, site location, products and services offered, or any combination of these terms.

“Switch and Data’s Internet exchanges connect our customers to content, end users, technology vendors, and business partners across North America,” explained Ernie Sampera, Senior Vice President of Marketing for Switch and Data. “Web Marketplace makes it easier for our customers to get connected to new business opportunities and leverage the full potential of their presence in our densely interconnected sites.”
