The All-Wireless Workplace Is Now Open For Business Says Aruba And Westcon Group
Aruba Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARUN), a global leader in user-centric networks and secure mobility solutions, in conjunction with its distribution partner Westcon Group, Inc., one of the world’s leading specialty distributors of networking, security, mobility and convergence, today announced a North American 802.11n-focused seminar series - The All-Wireless Workplace: Now Open For Business. The launch seminar will be held on December 18 at B.B. King’s Blues Club in New York City, where Westcon will describe how Aruba’s new 802.11n solutions, used in conjunction with complementary security and convergence products distributed by Westcon Group, make it practical to deploy highly secure, all-wireless workplace solutions.
“Aruba’s 802.11n networks have the potential to completely change market dynamics by enabling customers to use high performance, secure wireless networks in lieu of port-based wired networks,” said Keerti Melkote, Arubas co-founder and head of products and partnerships. “By offering higher security, more flexible deployment options, and better performance than 100BaseT wired networks, we see 802.11n as the first wireless technology to be a viable replacement for wired infrastructure. We designed our 802.11n solution to leverage existing switches, routers, and power-over-Ethernet devices, allowing customers to use the infrastructure they already have in place with no core upgrades as they migrate away from wired networks to a more manageable, highly secure all-wireless network that is tailor-made for todays mobile workforce.”
Westcon Group offers its value-added resellers a suite of secure, next-generation wireless solutions for converged voice, video and data applications, including those that require seamless transitions between Wi-Fi and cellular networks.
“Organizations that want to rely on wireless as their primary form of connectivity will only do so if the solution is robust, highly secure, and field proven,” said Anthony Daley, executive vice president, the Americas, Westcon Group. “Aruba’s platform has been proven scalable, flexible, and highly secure in some of the world’s largest wireless LAN deployments. Combining these attributes with the high speed of the new 802.11n solution and the best-of-class converged products we distribute will enable us to open a new dimension of opportunities in the secure mobility market for our resellers.”
