The company reported net income for the quarter of $30,529 compared with a loss of $274,123 for the same period a year earlier. The company had revenues of $439,185 for the quarter with a gross profit of $188,422.
The company attributed the swing from loss to profitability to sales of VoipSwitch licenses. VoipSwitch was acquired in January 2008. During the third quarter, Voiceserve launched an improved version of its Vippie Softphone, with an added SMS feature, which enhanced sales.
Voiceserve CEO Michael Bibelman said, “Earlier this month we exhibited our VoipSwitch products at the Technology Marketing Corporation Communication Conference in Miami. We introduced our VoipSwitch Solution to our American softswitch consumers and we were quite pleased with the reaction we received. In March we are exhibiting at CeBIT in Hannover, Germany. CeBIT is the world’s largest trade fair showcasing digital IT and telecommunications solutions. This is part of our strategy to increase awareness to the VoipSwitch Solution in Europe and beyond. We are confident that with a presence at key exhibitions within our arena, we’ll be able to increase growth in profitability.”
Voiceserve President Alexander Ellinson said, “VoipSwitch Solutions has just launched the IPBX and mobile dialer for Windows mobile. These features should attract a large global clientele. VoipSwitch solutions are very versatile with a range of modules, which are designed for either the VoIP entrepreneur or the more sophisticated VoIP provider. The softswitches are priced very economically, enabling potential VoIP enthusiasts to enter the VoIP arena with a very modest investment even during the current economic climate.”
