The Company continues to evolve its award winning software to address the growing demand for video capabilities in conjunction with voice over the Internet (VoIP). The worldwide demand for VoIP during the first half of 2009 grew to over $20 billion, with subscribership up approximately14 percent over 2008 year-end levels. Industry research firms project IP Centrex and Hosted Unified Communications to grow over 25 percent in 2009. As connectivity and broadband continue to expand to accommodate the growing demand for VoIP, interest in video over IP services from both residential and commercial customers is dramatically increasing.
VOIPSwitch has added video connectivity to its SoftSwitch infrastructure and modules, and has incorporated the video feature into affordable, reliable video phones. The devices are robust and can meet the demanding expectations of even the most sophisticated customers, including hotels, IP-PBX clients, and residential users.
“Our latest release of the video software is the perfect solution for creating a video conference environment. The video conference can be launched through the VoipSwitch web portal or from the VoipSwitch IP-PBX website. End-users will have the ability to communicate directly from web to any SIP video phone and vice versa,” commented VoiceServe’s CTO, Dr.Chris Oglaza. “Following the success of our Nokia-Symbian, Window’s Vippie diallers, and the wide spread use of iPhones, we anticipate tremendous demand for this new video module. VoipSwitch has simplified video conferencing such that it can even be done from mobile phones. We have included with our launch a Video phone pre-programmed with the Voipswitch software that will enable clients to interconnect simply and easily.”
Alexander Ellinson, president of VoiceServe, added, “In 2009, we focused on enhancing the robustness of our system to enable our customers to take full advantage of their voice communication features using VOIP. Voipswitch customers can now connect from the majority of mobile phone handsets WIFI, 3G or edge enviroment . While the benefits of VOIP are immense, the latest addition of Video will provide additional services helping customers realize greater communications benefits than they’d ever imagined.”
