PortaBilling Oracularius is a full-featured, converged and open source billing product supporting residential, IP Centrex and wholesale phone services, data access services, IPTV, mobile services, and value-added services (messaging, content download, etc.) The system offers this level of bundling, as well as consolidated customer billing, while retaining centralized control of customer funds.
PortaBilling Oracularius uses Oracle RAC for back-end data storage while deploying the real-time billing logic on a cluster of multiple billing servers. This ensures continued operation even if a server experiences a hardware malfunction, and can scale-up by simply adding more servers.
PortaBilling Oracularius’ real-time billing engine works with a wide range of telecommunication network equipment (both TDM and VoIP including NexTone) for user authorization, flexible call routing and CDR mediation and rating. It also features an easy integration with third-party systems via XML API. Built on Oracle Enterprise Linux server architecture, it is pre-integrated with PortaOne’s PortaSIP (class 4/5 softswitch) for quick, low-cost standards-based implementation, as well as PortaOne’s PortaUM Unified Messaging System and PortaBridge conferencing server for out-of-the-box residential and SMB-hosted IPPBX/Centrex.
