AccuWeather.com Introduces netWeather Mobile

AccuWeather.com today announced the launch of the new AccuWeather.com netWeather Mobile, the easiest new way to incorporate weather information into your business or personal mobile web site.  Building on the outstanding success of netWeather on the traditional web, netWeather Mobile brings some of the same free weather information and the easy implementation to mobile web developers and site owners.

The new netWeather Mobile differs from other mobile web weather information in that it allows developers to incorporate dynamic weather data directly into their site, quickly, easily, and without requiring users to link away to view weather information.  Also, netWeather Mobile delivers weather data in a graphically supported way, available in two designs—white and transparent background—to fit easily into the layout of any mobile web site.  These mobile weather readouts provide current conditions, with weather icon and temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit, for millions of locations all over the world.

“As one of the most eminently location-specific, personalized, and timely forms of data, we believe that weather content is an ideal match for the mobile web,” Michael Sylvie, AccuWeather.comís Manager, New Media Business Development, said. “AccuWeather.com is excited to extend our widget strategy from the traditional to the mobile web. We believe AccuWeather.com netWeather Mobile will be a great value-add for mobile web site owners all over the world.”
