Cordia’s India Joint Venture, Cordia LT Communications, to Launch IP Services
Cordia LT has been granted a Nationwide License to Provide IP Telephony and ISP Services throughout India
Cordia Corporation (OTCBB: CORG), a global communications service provider of traditional CLEC and Voice over Internet Protocol ("VOIP") technologies announced today that Cordia LT Communications Pvt. Ltd., its joint venture with LT Overseas Ltd., a public company traded on the Bombay Stock Exchange, (BSE: DAWAAT), has been granted a fifteen year nationwide license to sell IP telephony and ISP services throughout India. Cordia LT expects to begin selling VoIP services on February 27, 2008. In conjunction with the launch, Cordia LT has deployed an initial network node in New Delhi that will be integrated with Cordia’s international network. Cordia LT is also licensed to provide ISP and broadband services and is currently analyzing wireless network options including WiMAX and mobile WiMAX.
Vikas Bhandari, President of Cordia International Corp. stated, “The Indian communications market is vast and rapidly growing with relatively low levels of market penetration. Cordia LT’s license allows us to provide voice, data and other value added services such as IPTV over both wire-line and wireless IP networks.” Mr. Bhandari continued, “Our initial services will utilize our own switching and international IP network in conjunction with third party broadband providers’ last mile solutions. Our long term objective, however, is to deploy our own next generation wireless IP network nodes that are capable of providing mobile voice, data and value added services.”
