Mobile VoIP Internet Telephony: Soonr Selected as a Finalist for 2008 Red Herring 100 North America
Award Recognizes the 100 “Most Promising” Companies Driving the Future of Technology
Soonr, a global leader in providing cloud computing solutions for mobile professionals to telco operators, today announced that they are a finalist for the Red Herring 100 Award which honors the 100 most innovative North American private technology companies. The Red Herring editorial board evaluated more than 800 entrepreneurial firms in North America and identified 200 who are leading the next wave of innovation. Past award winners have included Google, Yahoo!, Skype, Netscape, Salesforce.com and YouTube.
“We can see the exciting evolution of the technology sector reflected in the quality and variety of exceptional companies that we had to choose from in putting our list together,” said Joel Dreyfuss, editor-in-chief of Red Herring. “It was tough to choose just 200 finalists from such a large list of excellent contenders, and we are very happy with the quality of the companies we selected as finalists.”
“Soonr is very pleased to be named by Red Herring as a technology innovator,” said Patrick McVeigh, CEO of Soonr. “While there is no shortage of great ideas among technology startups throughout North America, we believe the ones that will succeed are those devoted to changing user’s daily lives. The feature-rich Soonr platform and partnership model promise to make Soonr a changing force in the world of mobile and personal cloud computing.”
The 100 winning companies will be announced at the Red Herring North America event in San Jose, California, on May 12-14 at the Fairmont Hotel.
