Toshiba’s New IP Telephones Deliver Powerful Functionality and Exceptional Performance
Toshiba America Information Systems Inc., Telecommunication Systems Division (Toshiba — http://www.telecom.toshiba.com) today announced the availability of its new IP5000-series IP telephones, bringing a new modern design, backlit displays and built-in Gigabit Ethernet switch that supports high-speed network connections directly to the desktop, providing exceptional performance and sound quality. Now available, the IP5000-series telephones are compatible with the Toshiba Strata® CIX™ family of IP business communications systems.

Features of Toshiba’s new IP5000 telephones include:
* New Design — Sleek, low profile design (less than one inch thick) with stylish tilt stand offering eight adjustable positions and integrated headset interface provide an ergonomic and elegant desktop device. The telephones have a modern look with a black body, dark grey keys and a silver tilt stand.
* Ease of Use — Large, easy-to-read backlit LCD screen makes it easier for users to see, access and use the telephone’s sophisticated features.
* High Performance and Sound Quality — Built-in dual Gigabit Ethernet ports support high-speed network connections directly to the desktop, providing enhanced VoIP performance and sound quality. This is a standard feature on all the IP5000 models.
* Mobility — Toshiba’s IP5000 telephones can be moved around the office or taken home for use virtually anywhere there is Internet access.
* Remote Use — When used remotely, Toshiba’s IP5000 telephones deliver all the features as if they were being used at the office, including both incoming and outgoing Caller ID, direct extension calling and more.
* No compromises – Toshiba’s IP5000 telephones include all the features and functionality of Toshiba’s digital telephones, enabling users to have the best of traditional telephone features in an IP telephone.
Toshiba’s new IP5000 telephones are available in three models:
* IP5131-SDL — Nine-line LCD IP telephone with 10 programmable buttons and LCD key labels plus integrated browser. This is Toshiba’s executive IP telephone, which when paired with the add-on module (LM5110) provides dynamic keystrip labels, helping to reduce administrative burden.
* IP5132-SD — Four-line LCD IP telephone with 20 programmable buttons.
* IP5122-SD — Four-line LCD IP telephone with 10 programmable buttons, available with or without local CO line interface.
* Also available are three Add-On Modules:
-- LM5110—10 programmable buttons with LCD key labels
-- KM5020—20 programmable buttons
-- IDM5060—DSS/BLF Console with 60 programmable buttons
Toshiba also now offers a full line of new digital telephones with the same design, features and functionality for customers who wish to use digital telephones as part of their system. The DP5000-series digital telephones feature five models with up to 20 programmable buttons and backlit LCD screens. Add-on modules are also available for the digital telephones. The DP5000-series telephones replace Toshiba’s line of 3200-series digital telephones in the Strata CIX product line.
System Compatibility
Compatible with Toshiba’s entire family of Strata CIX IP business communications systems, Toshiba IP5000 telephones are also compatible with Toshiba’s IP User Mobility feature and can function as supported IP stations for Toshiba’s Video Communication Solution (VCS®). These new telephones are also compatible with older Strata CTX® systems.
