Low-Cost VoIP for SOHO & Small Business

VOCALscape announced that it will be offering low-cost entry and substantial discounts on there Voice Over IP Gateways and Gatekeeper services to qualified businesses who are interested in taking advantage of Internet Telephony. VOCALscape will provide these gateways with the hopes of boosting BETA participation in it's OPEN-VON network now in BETA. VOCALscape's OPEN-VON network is currently quite small but Erik Lagerway [VOCALscape President] is confident that this new no-cost and low-cost entry strategy will boost participation immensely.

The OPEN-VON network concept was developed in order to provide smaller businesses with access to IP Telephony technology that has been virtually inaccessible until now. IP Telephony equipment is expensive and Voice Over IP networks are costly to maintain.

When the network has completed BETA [early October] the Participants who opted in for the free SOHO Gateway will have the option to either subscribe to the network or purchase the equipment at that time.

Potential BETA Participants will be happy to hear that the SOHO Gateways are every bit like their expensive counter-parts. The feature rich capabilities of these VoIP Gateways include; PC-Phone, Phone-WWW-Phone and Phone-PC. VOCALscape's Gatekeeper System controls the entire network and filters calls made to each gateway node which means the OPEN-VON Participant does not have to worry about billing, call re-routing or authentication etc.

All that is required from the Participant is one telephone line, power and a dedicated Internet connection of no less than 64Kbps.
